A number of different groups have produced implementations of Geometric Algebra in symbolic algebra packages. These include:
- A Mathematica notebook created by Terje Vold.

Clifford Algebra with Mathematica, by Aragon-Camarasa, et al. arXiv:0810.2412
- A GA module for SymPy. SymPy is a free symbolic algebra package built on Python. The module is maintained by Alan Bromborsky.
- The GA Sandbox and other tools maintained by Leo Dorst’s group.
Maple
For our research we favoured the symbolic algebra package Maple. The initial decision based on a comparison with available tools around 1992.
The software we now rely on was originally written in the period 1995-1998 using Maple V by Mark Ashdown. The software can be downloaded from
Unless you are running a very old version of Maple you will want version 1.2.2. This supports versions from 9 onwards, and is currently running smoothly on Maple 2015.
